Cranes (including hoists and winches), Part 9: Vehicle hoists

Specifies the requirements for vehicle hoists as defined in AS 2549. It applies to wheel-supporting, axle-supporting and frame-supporting vehicle hoists, but does not apply to vehicle jacks, trolley jacks, car stackers or vehicle roll-over equipment. Sections are included on their design, installation, testing and operation and maintenance requirements. Appendices provide guidance on deflection limits, hazards and illustrations of typical vehicle hoists. It is intended for use with AS 1418.1 and AS/NZS 2550.9 which provides guidance on the safe use of vehicle hoists.
