The objective of this Technical Specification is to address the support of safety extra low voltage and limited power source applications that provide remote power over balanced cabling in accordance with the reference implementations of AS/NZS ISO/IEC 11801 series standards using currents per conductor of up to 500 mA and target the support of applications that provide remote power over balanced cabling to terminal equipment; cover the transmission and electrical parameters needed to support remote power over balanced cabling; cover various installation scenarios and how these may impact the capability of balanced cabling to support remote powering; and specify design and configuration of cabling as specified in AS/NZS ISO/IEC 11801‑1.
