AS/NZS 60335.2.12:2018 deals with the safety of electric warming plates, warming trays and similar appliances intended to keep food or vessels warm, for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V. This Standard will supersede AS/NZS 60335.2.12:2004 two years from the date of publication (i.e. on 30 November 2021). During this period AS/NZS 60335.2.12:2004 will also remain current. Regulatory authorities that reference this Standard in regulation may apply these requirements at a different time. Users of this Standard should consult with these authorities to confirm their requirements.
