Rubber gloves for electrical purposes

The gloves referred to in this specification are rubber gloves intended for electrical purposes in circumstances involving the possibility of direct contact with equipment of which the voltage does not exceed 3300 volts to earth. Such gloves may be used with external mechanical protection or reinforcement consisting of leather or other suitable material in which case the specification relates only to the rubber portion. The standard contains no provisions which bear upon the use of rubber gloves as secondary insulation for work on conductors at voltages greater than 3300 volts to earth.
