Electrically heated ovens in which flammable volatiles occur. Type 1 ovens

Applies to Type 1 electrically heated ovens, as defined within this standard, in which there is an explosion hazard due to the presence of flammable volatiles from material in the oven, e.g. flammable volatiles from paints and other finishing procedures such as dipped or sprayed material, impregnated material and coated fabrics. It includes those design and construction features and ventilation requirements which are considered to be essential to secure the safe operation of such ovens in service.
