This specification applies to cord extension sockets as herein defined, intended for use at extra-low, low and medium voltages. This specification does not apply to cord extension sockets which are enclosed within an appliance in such a way that they are not exposed to personal contact, or which are intended for use solely where they will be so enclosed.
