Jointing compounds and materials for use in gas pipe joints

Specifies the uniform minimum requirements for manufacturers, designers, regulatory authorities, testing laboratories and similar for the safety, performance and use of jointing compounds and materials for use with threaded or flanged joints in pipes and fittings used in gas installations. These jointing compounds and materials are intended for use with natural gas, town gas, tempered liquefied petroleum gas and liquefied petroleum gas.
