The objective of this Standard is to standardize the user interface between the firefighter and the control and indicating equipment (c.i.e.) (fire indicator panel), to assist in initial training and ongoing skills maintenance for firefighters from both career and volunteer fire brigades, and to facilitate fire brigade intervention where monitored fire and smoke detection and alarms system are installed as required by the Building Code of Australia (BCA).
