Freight containers, Part 6: Tank containers

Specifies the basic requirements for the specification and testing of Series 1 and Series R tank containers suitable for the carriage of gases and liquids, including solid substances, which may be loaded or unloaded as liquids either for gravity or pressure discharge, for international exchange and for conveyance by road, rail and sea, including interchange between these forms of transport. This Standard has been reproduced from ISO 1496-3:1995 and introduces requirements for series R containers in an appendix.
