Methods for sampling and analysis of ambient air, Method 5.1: Determination of oxides of nitrogen — Direct-reading instrumental method

Sets out a method for the determination of the concentration of oxides of nitrogen in ambient air. The method is applicable to ambient air containing oxides of nitrogen at a concentration of less than 1 p.p.m. by volume (less than 1 mL/m(sup)3(/sup)). Nitric oxide (NO) and total oxides of nitrogen (NO(sub)´(/sub)) may be measured.
