Sets out a classification scheme according to raw material type and alumina content and specifies minimal requirements for a quality high alumina shape related to selected AQL values. Incorporates flexibility to adjust physical requirements if AQL values are varied. Serves as a basic guide to Australian produced high alumina shapes but may require adjustment of specifications, within requirements given, according to end-use of product.
