Specifies constructional, dimensional, physical and resistance-to-oil and ozone requirements for five classes of hose according to rated maximum working pressure and application, viz. extra heavy (mining), heavy duty (construction work), general purpose, oil resistant, general purpose and light duty. Tests are generally prescribed by reference to AS 1180.
