​Specifies requirements for the equipment used and practices adopted in the provision of electric emergency evacuation lighting in buildings. Object is to provide visual conditions which will alleviate panic and permit safe evacuation of the building's occupants should this be necessary in the event of failure of the normal lighting. Does not specify types of buildings nor particular locations which should be provided with emergency evacuation lighting.​
