AS 2182-1978 sets out requirements for small, portable, electrically heated pressure steam sterilizers of the downward displacement type, which require no plumbing, arid which are intended for use in hospitals, dental and medical surgeries and similar applications where there is need for the sterilization of unwrapped instruments and utensils.
