Specifies the principal constructional requirements, the test requirements and performance criteria for electric dishwashers for household use including materials and workmanship, facilities for maintenance, switches and controls, prevention of backflow through the waste outlet, minimum values for washing index and drying index, energy and water consumption, and maximum noise level. It also specifies requirements for marking, guarantee, point-of-sale information, instructions for operation and care, and the statement of the principal Australian source for replacement parts.
