Applies to the lighting of areas in hospitals and medical premises where clinical observations are conducted. Recommendations relate primarily to the provision of artificial lighting of suitable spectral composition to facilitate the rapid and positive assessment of the condition of a patient by visual observation of skin colour or changes in skin colour.
