Applies to hard-drawn bare copper conductors of 7 or more strands, specifying size, material, stranding, mechanical and resistance tests, packing and marking requirements for standard wire diameters and stranded conductors. An appendix includes stranding constants for length, mass and resistance to enable the difference between a straight and stranded conductor to be determined.
