[Superseded]Children’s toys (Safety requirements), Part 3: Toxicological requirements
Specifies maximum permissible levels of substances which are considered hazardous, that can be used as colourants in or on toys by way of coating materials (e.g. paints, varnishes and lacquers); plastics materials including rubber materials; graphic materials (e.g. colouring pencils, finger paints, watercolour blocks); and in printed materials (e.g. comics, magazines, rag books). Also specifies requirements for modelling materials (e.g. Playdoh); toy cosmetics (e.g. face paints); food-related toys (e.g. toy frypans); and lists substances which are prohibited from use in or on toys. Test procedures are described.
