Relates to toys intended for use by children up to the age of 14 years. Essentially it applies to those areas of toys which are likely to present one or more hazards, e.g. sharp point, pinch or crush, ingestion or inhalation, electric shock hazard, hazard associated with heated surfaces. Includes 28 test procedures which also relate to the normal use and reasonably foreseable abuse of toys. Labelling requirements are also specified.
