AS 1158.5-1974

The recommendations in this Part of the SAA Public Lighting Code relate to a system of supplementary lighting for pedestrian crossings comprising one or more floodlights mounted above each stream of traffic with the beam(s) pointed in the direction of traffic flow and downwards towards the crossing.
